The 3M 420 Lead Foil tape is a 120micron Lead Foil with green rubber adhesive and easy-release film liner. Our Lead Foil Tape is used for masking in electroplating and as a moisture & radiation barrier in certain applications. The 420 Lead Foil Tape provides good conformability having electrically & thermally conductive properties.

Description
The 3M 420 Lead Foil tape has the following features;
- ā¢ Very good conformability.Ā
- ā¢ Good thermal properties and will perform over a wide variety of temperature conditions (-60Ā° to 225Ā°F or -54Ā° to 106Ā°C). It has been used at higher temperatures for shorter duration.Ā
- ā¢ Electrically and thermally conductive.Ā
- ā¢ Can be die-cut into specific shapes.Ā
- ā¢ This material when disposed of separately is classified as RCRA hazardous waste. Please consult applicable Federal, State and local regulations for proper disposal.Ā
- ā¢ Elevated lead levels in water may result from long term submersion of this product.Ā
- ā¢ Best results are obtained when applied to a clean dry surface above 32Ā°F (0Ā°C). Also, by āfeatheringā the edges ā rubbing the tape down with a smooth-edged plastic piece (or similar object) ā the tape can be made to better conform to the substrate. This is especially important if the tape is to be used as a āthiefā in electroplating where the edges must fully contact the metal base.Ā
