The 2 basic types of foil tapes are - unreinforced aluminium foil tape (which is hand tearable) & re-inforcerced aluminium foil tape (which has cross linked fibres all through the tape to prevent it from tearing / ripping). We also have high grades of foil tapes, such as the 3M 425 foil tape, & the VentureClad range - 1577 (5ply foil) & VentureClad 1579 (13ply foil) which are U.V. resistant & form a non-permeable barrier that will prevent corrosion from spreading. The Venture range of foil tapes also are available in white which can be used in refrigeration applications.
