Selecting the correct reflective tape can be difficult. Here is a quick guide to different colours & grades of reflective tape we have available.

Grades of Reflective Tape - There are 2 Grades available:

  • Class 1, also known as Diamond Grade, or Honeycomb Reflective Tape. This is the best quality, has the highest reflectivity & will last longest
  • Class 2, this is just a plain reflective tape, is usually recomended to last up to 7 years

Colours of Reflective Tape Available For Trucks, Trailers, Pantecs, Tautliners:

  • White for use on the FRONT of vehicles 

  • Yellow for use on the SIDE of vehicles 

  • Red for use on the REAR of vehicles

Best Practices Guide For Where Different Colours Of Reflective Tape Should Be Applied On Trucks / Trailers

We recomend the 3M Diamond Grade series of Reflective Tapes, which will do all applications recquired of reflective tape on trucks, trailers, truck curtains, etc. The Diamond Grade Reflective Series Of Tapes have excellent reflectivity, are all "Edge Sealed" which increases the life of the tape by making it harder for water, moisture, dirt & grime to penetrate the tape forcing it to lift off, which trucks are constantly exposed to being driven day in & day out, plus at speed on highways. Tapes for different applications on trucks we have are;

  • 983 series - hard surface reflective tape. Colours include; White, Yellow, Red & Fluro Yellow
  • 997s series - segmented reflective tape, designed for flexible & curved - round surfaces such as truck curtains, tautliners, each piece is 50mm x 50mm. Colours include; Red, White & Yellow
  • 997 series - flexible reflective tape for use on truck curtains, tautliners, other flexible surfaces that have movement
